Six rooms, one long table
A culinary guesthouse on Sifnos. We open at six in the evening for the bread and close when the conversation ends.

“We came for the residency of Sofia di Tornello and stayed an extra three nights for the goat shoulder Yiayia Nausika cooked the following Tuesday. Marina remembered, on our second visit a year later, that my mother is allergic to celery. I have not had that experience in a five-star anywhere.”
“I came alone, expecting an awkward dinner. Renaud sat me between a Cretan winemaker and a Brazilian architect, and we talked until the candles burned out. The next morning Stamatia let me shape the bread. I am, for the first time in my life, considering buying property on a Greek island.”
“Apothiki Thalassa has the only bath in the house. I sat in it for an hour with the window open over the courtyard while the kitchen was prepping for service and could hear the whole brigade laughing at something. That is what I came for.”
“I asked Renaud to teach me to turn his Beauforts. He gave me a 4kg wheel and an hour. Three months later I have built a small affinage box in my apartment. He answers my emails the same day.”
“I have not had a meal at the long table that I could find a fault in. I have, on the other hand, made friends I now travel to see. AffinerHouse is the only address I have on a magnet on my fridge. The magnet was their gift on my first visit.”
